Warrior in Transition Complex and Operations Facility, Fort Campbell, KY

Design-Build Construction

NationView was the prime lead on this project.  The project involved the design/build of a new “Warrior in Transition” complex.  The facility complex consisted of a single story Battalion Headquarters (8,100 SF) and a medium sized two story Company Operations Facility (20,600 SF).  The buildings plans are arranged to facilitate work flow.  Corridors are located between the perimeter offices and ancillary spaces. Interior walls are a combination of CMU, metal studs and furring with impact-resistant gypsum board finish. Mechanical and electrical rooms located on the ground floor have exterior entrances to acoustically isolate them from the administrative spaces they serve.  The Company Operation Facility has a 4,000 lb. capacity elevator to serve the second floor.  The facility is a LEED v2.2 Silver Certifiable project.  The low maintenance facility meets all UFC and 7.2ATFP requirements of the Army. Design of the facility includes administrative and office areas, classrooms, kitchen areas, and training areas.  The facility includes fire detection and alarm systems, automatic sprinklers, CCTV and mass notification systems.  The exterior includes landscaping with rain water retention ponds, storm water run-off control, sidewalks, parking lots, traffic lines, traffic markings and site lighting. No recordable or lost time accidents occurred on this project.
